TAGUIG CITY—The Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) conducted development workshops on Halal and Food Safety Programs from January 24-27, 2017.

“Science for the people”. This was expressed by Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Fortunato de la Peña as DOST’s new banner call during the Philippine National LiDAR Conference 2017 on January 18-19, 2017 in Cebu City.

Manila, Philippines--The Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology, Research and Development (DOST - PCIEERD), in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), hosted the 23rd Session of the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF-23) with the theme “Building a Future through Space Science, Technology and Innovation” last November 15-18, 2016.

QUEZON CITY – On November 21-25, 2016, our country celebrated the 12^th National Biotechnology Week (NBW) in accordance to the Presidential Proclamation No. 1414, s. 2007 to recognize the importance of Biotechnology and its impact to the society.

The Industrial Technology Development Institute (ITDI) with support from the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) recognized the Most Innovative Products developed from the Food Innovation Centers (FIC) technologies: water retort, vacuum fryer, spray dryer, and freeze dryer, during its awarding ceremonies on November 14, 2016.
