The DOST- PCIEERD is celebrating its 6th anniversary on June 29, 2016 with two important events that revolve around the theme “Hatid ng Agham at Teknolohiya, Kaunlaran ng Bawat Isa”. With this theme focusing on the delivery technology-based solutions and innovations, PCIEERD will showcase outputs of research and development projects/technologies that are ready to be transferred to interested investors/technology adopters.
On June 28, 2016, PCIEERD is conducting an outreach program on June 28, 2016 in Sitio Cuadra, Mabalacat, Pampanga. The Council will deploy a low-cost rainwater collection system and distribute ceramic water filters to the community in Pampanga.
Following the outreach program, on June 29, 2016 at the Widus Hotel, Clarkfield, Pampanga, DOST- PCIEERD will be present the following technologies: Technologies for a Healthy Lifestyle: rice-monggo (RIMO) curls, tablea, dried foods, healthy drinks from the Food Innovation Centers
- Technologies for Household Use: Rainwater collection, ceramic filter
- Technologies for Recreation: Guitara ni Juan
- Technologies for Education: VISSER, e-books
- Technologies for Transportation: Electronic vehicle charging machine, e-vehicle, road rain (CRT)
The presentations will be followed by a business matching/technology clinic for possible investors, technology adopters, and other intended beneficiaries. Invited speakers will also talk about turning technologies into business, challenges in putting up a tech-based company in the country, experiences in technology commercialization, and putting up a start-up company based on Korean experience. Special Messages will also be given by DOST Secretary Mario G. Montejo, Pampanga Mayor Edgardo D. Pamintuan and In-coming DOST Secretary Fortunato T. Dela Pena.
